Hey everyone!

Its been a looooooong time since I have posted on here, and there are several reasons for that. Among some health problems with family members, I have been working on a newer, better blog and so excited to announce that it is almost ready and will be launching any day now!

I thank you all for sticking with me as I grow and become a better blogger, and I’m very excited to connect with you all. Some of the people I have met through here have become life long friends. I have learned so much through other bloggers and am so grateful to have this amazing opportunity!

Hey everyone!

I have exciting news. A few friends of mine have been working on an AMAZING app for over a year now, and it is finally done and officially launched! The app is called Slync. It’s super unique and fun, and exclusive to the Seattle area to date, but will soon be expanding globally:)

My first thoughts when playing around with it was that its like Pinterest, only it provides you with prices and locations and store/boutique locations and names so if you see what you like, you can actually go out and get it!

A few cool features:

Discovery Mode
– Slync shows you what people are buying around you based on your location.
– You can search for something (e.g. “makeup) and all of the closest makeup items will appear in the feed.
– You get the picture, price, location and hashtags of the item.
– You’ll be able to walk into a store, pull up the app and see what the most popular items are.

My Feed Mode
– You can share your purchases in your feed.
– Take a picture, upload it onto Slync, add hashtags and add the price.
– Your location is automatically pulled up
– You have the option to make your post public or private
– Why would you make it private? If you want to keep track of what you post privately.

“Thanks”
– Instead of likes, or shares, Slync lets you “thank” others.
– You can see how many thank you’s you have collected over time
– “Double tap” to thank someone

The “1K Users”
– These are the first 1,000 users
– They were the early adapters
– Their accounts are eminent with the “1K” symbol and various distinct privileges.

Faux fabulous

Hello loves! Fall is here finally here as evident by the multi-colored leaves everywhere!

I must admit Fall is one of my most favorite seasons- I love the crisp air, crunchy leaves, dressing up in scarves and hats, and enjoying the delicious seasonal coffee drinks 🙂

I paired my faux fur vest from Forever 21 with a pop of color- blue skinny jeans and a wool hat from American Apparel.

Comfy, cute and chic 🙂

Feeling blue

Not with my emotions, with fashion of course 🙂

One trend that I LOVE is mixing monochromatic pieces. It’s easy to put together and always looks trendy yet classy. I incorporated plaid- which I am OBSESSED with, and a blue pencil skirt. I love the leather detailing of the shirt! And of course, the right accessories make any outfit complete 🙂

Fur & Roses

Happy Sunday! I took a very much needed weekend off, and I can’t even say what 3 days of enough sleep can do for the soul! 🙂

First off, I have been making some changes to the blog- as you can see it is no lobger called Lipstick and Stilletos but now Seattle Chic!

This is all part of some big and exciting changes that are happening in the future… stay tuned 🙂

Haven’t had much time to do an outfit post because of school.. WHHHHYY. But since today I actually rollled out of bed and decided to put on a fancy shmancy outfit, I decided to share.

I am wearing a faux fur vest from Forever 21 and a floral blouse that I picked up at a vintage shop downtown Seattle. Bag- Louis Vuitton Alma bag I recieved as a birthday gift from my parents. Heels- Nordstrom and skirt Zara.

It was been significantly chilly here and this vest so warm and cozy and kept me nice and snuggly.

Don’t be afraid of pairing different prints and textures- that’s why I love fashion, you can rock anything with the right attitude and accessories 🙂

With that I am off to get my daily dose of Starbucks before I go crazy.

First Impression: L’Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder #MagicNude

Hello lovely people!

Its been a few weeks since I posted, and I am overwhelmed by all the concerned and sweet messages and tweets I have received from all of you! I was really touched and am so glad that I have such support for my blog ❤ Thank you all! Sending out a big hug to all of you 🙂

Its been a busy few weeks transferring from Summer to Fall- college, work, social life, events, and I was dreadfullly sick for over a week, but I finally am getting into the flow of things so will be posting more regularly 🙂

Anyway today I wanted to introduce you to a product that I have been eyeing for several weeks now. L’Oréal Paris Magic Nude Liquid Powder Makeup. I first saw an advertisment for it in a magazine, and was very intrigued, and I finally got the chance to try it!

It’s a foundation that transforms from liquid to powder for flawless skin.

Here is my before photo- bare skin.

And here is the after photo, after applying the foundation.

I love the coverage it gives me- natural but covers my flaws but feels lightweight! It applies smoothly into the skin and turns into powder, which is very cool and different from anything I’ve ever tried!
