Hey loves!

I have had an incredibly crazy week, from working like crazy, working on clients for their weddings and engagements, and on top of it all, college!
Now that the craziness has passed, I finally has time to blog 🙂

I also wanted to show the beautiful ladies I had the privilege of doing their makeup/ hair this past week.

They made my work easy, because they were so naturally beautiful to begin with!:)
If you would like to see more of my work, check out my Facebook Page or Instagram and Twitter, I post there daily:)

Have a lovely rest of the week!
Love and kisses,
Miss M

Featuring FACE IT Catalog <3

Hey everyone!
Todays post is from my lovely guests blogger at FACE IT blog! 🙂

I absolutely adored Vicky’s blog from the minute I found it and to mix things up we decided to swap posts for the day. I am Amber of FACE IT Catalog, a personal style blog focused on putting your best forward and having fun with your makeup and clothing. I find my personal style is evolving as well through the creative process of blogging. This outfit is cozy and glamorous. Living in San Diego where the weather is wonderful nearly all the time makes those cool days very exciting. Bring on the faux fur!

Top: JCrew (loving this one), Denim: LOFT Petites, Scarf: Nordstrom (similar here for $4.88!!), Heels: Ann Taylor, Sunglasses: Ocean Supply, Bag: Celine, Watch: Michael Kors
Makeup: Too Faced Natural Eye Palette, Smashbox Lipstick in Latte Matte, MAC Lip Pencil in Whirl, MAC Blush in Prism
This outfit is a little bit southwest and little bit city. Ann Taylor has some amazing pieces out right now and I fell in love with these cool wing tipped peep toe heels, they are so unique. I found this faux fur infinity scarf at Nordstrom Rack for a great deal and love to cozy up with it while it’s cool out. I found these Prada inspired Baroque sunglasses through after deciding that they were a bit too trendy for me to invest in the real thing. I think they are dead on and so much fun!

For makeup, I kept things warm with my signature smokey brown eye, see a tutorial here using NARS eyeshadow.

What do you think about mixing city with southwest?

Thanks to Vicky for having me and to you for reading. Stop by to visit me at FACE IT Catalog anytime!

Hey everyone!

Exciting news!!-

So I was recently contacted by Teen Vogue Magazine and found out that I am one of the girls who will get to host a Girls Night Out sponsored by Teen Vogue Magazine! 🙂 I am so excited and can’t wait to find out more details! Will definitely keep you posted 🙂

Today’s outfit was inspired by the song Titanium- “I’m bulletproof, nothing to lose, you shoot me down, but I won’t fall, I am titanium”

It’s just a reminder to all women everywhere, that we are strong, we are beautiful and nothing can change that!

Hope you all have a lovely day, I will be spending it buried in my books- it is midterm week in college and I am about to go crazy soon.. Wish me luck!!!!!!

Love and kisses,

Miss M

Mía Mariú Cosmetics

Hey everyone!

So I had the opportunity to try out another new cosmetics line, Mía Mariú.

Mía Mariú is a Dallas based health and beauty line of natural health and beauty products.
You can check out the website here
I was sent a Hydrating Stick Gloss in Beso and a Perfect Blending Brush.

The Hydrating Stick Gloss in Beso is a lovely light candy pink color, reminding me of a Barbie 🙂

My impression on this brand was a good one. I was very pleased with how moisturizing and long lasting the stick gloss was, as well as with the color. The brush was alright, I would probably spend my money on a little more expensive but better quality brush.

If you are looking for a quality brand, definitely check this one out!

Also, if you have a twitter or Instagram, connect with me! I find it so much easier and convenient to reply to comments and questions on there! 🙂

Healthy can be delicious!

Hey everyone!

One of my biggest new years resolutions this year was to completely change how I eat. Don’t get me wrong, this wasn’t another “diet”, I actually want to make this a lifestyle!

I had several family members who had complications or even passed away because they weren’t eating healthy, and eventually it caught up to them, so I figured, why not start early, so that I can be healthy and happy at any age?

There are so many great resources out there about clean and healthy eating. I was skeptical, I mean clean eating sounds boring huh? Turns out, you can have great tasting foods that are still good for you! Haha, I am just realizing this. Oh well, better late than never!

Breakfast consisted of a delicious smoothie.

Simply blend frozen bananas, a splash of milk, and a dash af vanilla.

It tasted like vanilla icecream but with less than 100 calories!

I prepared a lovely salad for lunch consisting of delicious veggies- carrots, cucumbers, avacado, corn, and lettuce with a drizzle of low fat ranch dressing.

Yumm right??

I never liked avacados and couldn’t stand their texture, but they grew on me and now I am obsessed with them 🙂

And to end of my health kick, I made homemade granola!!

It turned out delicous-here is the recipe.

Honey Nut Granola

1 cup of rolled oats
⅓ cup of shredded coconut
3 tbs of pecans, roughly chopped
2 tbs of pistachios, roughly chopped
2 tbs of slivered almonds
3 tbs of cashews, roughly chopped
¾ tsp of ground cinnamon
¼ tsp of ground nutmeg
¼ tsp of sea salt flakes
⅓ cup of honey
1½ tbs of olive oil
1 tsp of boiling water
Preheat the oven to 120 Celsius (250 Fahrenheit) and place the oats, coconut, nuts, salt flakes and cinnamon in a bowl. Toss to combine. Combine the honey with the boiling water and then add to the oat mixture along with the oil. Stir well making sure everything is coated.
Spread out on a tray lined with baking paper and bake for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes or so to ensure the mixture browns evenly. When golden leave to cool and store in air tight jars.
Play around with the ingredients and come up with your perfect granola. Try adding sunflower seeds, dried cranberries, walnuts or whatever else you prefer.

Compliments to Le Delicieux.

If you have any healthy tips or favorite recipes, please do share in the comments!! I’d love to hear them 🙂
