Today I woke up and had this urge to bake…something lemony and yummy.
I leafed through my recipes and came up with Iced Lemon Pound Cake. Let me tell you, it was pure deliciousness!
Its a quick and easy recipe, It took me about 6 minutes to whip up. This is fast and easy andd goes great with your coffee, or tea, or even better when it is chilled!
Iced Lemon Pound Cake:
You will need:
-1 2/3 cup flour -1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp baking soda -3 eggs -1 cup sugar – 1tsp vanilla -1tsp lemon extract -1/3 cup lemon juice -1/2 cup oil
-1/2 cup powdered sugar -2 Tbsp warm milk -1/2 tsp lemon extract
1. Pregeat oven to 350 degrees
2. Mix flour through baking soda. In seperate bowl mix eggs through oil. Combine the dry mix and wet mix. Pour in greased 9×5 pan (I used a mini loaf pan)
3. Bake 45-50 minutes.
4. Mix powdred sugar and milk with lemon extract, glaze the cake.
